The Robaina family has been growing tobacco since 1845 in their outstanding vega located at Cuchillas de Barbacoa next to San Luis Village at the heart of the Vuelta Abajo. The brand was launched in 1997 as a tribute to Don Alejandro Robaina who celebrated his 88th birthday on 20th of March 20007 and whose portrait is on all boxes of the brand.
