Two brothers of Galician origin, Ramon and Antonio Allones, launched the brand in 1846 and were the first to print vistas on their boxes (in this case the arms of the house of Spain). The production initially started in a small factory in Habana, La Eminencia. Ramon Allones was a smart marketing person and positioned his products as luxury ones. He also possessed a finca in the Vuelta Abajo prestigious San Luis village, El Corojo. The company was sold to the English firm Hunters in 1911 and sold again to the Cifuentes family (Partagas) in 1932. For decades the brand was exclusively available in Great Britain.
The range of Ramon Allones is limited, to our regret, to three cigars.
